We often end up with a mixed bag of Walleye & tasty Yellow Perch. With rods in your hands, I will teach you the skills and techniques to catch these delicious, finicky fish. Trolling is an option but I prefer to save that for dragging worm harnesses during the dog days of summer when they're very finicky. 95% of the time I have my clients actively fishing and learning, the way I feel it should be.

All fishing gear is provided except a NYS freshwater fishing license. Bring food, drinks, sunscreen & weather appropriate clothing. Our primary fishing methods include jigging & casting in deep water, Lake Trout are our most common catch with Rainbow Trout comming in second. These fish are power houses on light tackle, with their aggressive bites and drag screaming dives, this is truly a thrilling trip. Trolling can be requested but I believe there's no better feeling than to catch fish that you yourself has earned with a rod in your hands. The way we fish requires little to no background and is even easy for kids, as long as they can hold on to the rod when the fish try to steal it from them. Our Humminbird Helix Mega ensures we have all the detail we need to stay aware of whats going on in the water. These Trips are a BLAST!

Our Multi-Species trips take place on various waters between Fairhaven, NY and Sandy Creek, NY. Where we fish will be based on the current fishing as well as your preference. Some of the places we fish are Little Sodus Bay, Oswego River/ Harbor, Little Salmon River (Mexico Point), Salmon River Estuary, Sandy pond, plus a couple other places most people wouldn't think of. All the fishing we do is active with a rod in your hand. My goal is to teach you the necessary techniques and different methods I use to put fish in the boat and have a satisfying experience knowing all the fish you caught, you earned.
Fly Fishing For Pike:
When it comes to stripping flies in New York's fresh water, there is no better apex predator to target than the Northern Pike. Being more prevalent than their elusive cousin the Musky yet still capable of matching their size, they provide a better experience for those looking to hunt an apex predator on a fly. Plus you never know when you might run into a musky. When it comes to toothy predators such as Pike it is crucial to show up with at least intermediate knowledge of fly fishing. We will be using heavy fly rods (8-10wt) with often big flies and big hooks so it is important to have an understanding of how to cast. The most important casting technique to know is the double haul, this cast is important to build up the necessary momentum to send out large Pike flies, especially to punch through wind. As long as you have an idea of the technique I have no problem giving instruction to make you effective for the day.
Trophy Walleye:
May-June for Oswego River walleye is prime time with fish regularly caught in the mid-upper 20” range each trip. You’ll fish with a rod in your hand, putting in the work for these trophies. What’s over looked is that they still feed there throughout the year! My biggest was 31.5” August 11th, 2021. Mid-late summer is condition dependent daily so those trips will be up to my discretion as to whether its worth going out. The trophies are waiting! So come out and get a trophy walleye you earned yourself!
